MLC School Girls Achieve

MLC School is proudly non-selective, our aim is to foster students who excel in academics, sport, and the arts.

As innovators in girls’ education, MLC School was among the first in NSW to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, over 20 years ago. It sits alongside the Higher School Certificate (HSC) to provide two rigorous pathways to tertiary education. Both are highly respected and internationally recognised – IB for breadth and global focus, and HSC for depth in chosen fields. Our comprehensive Year 10 subject selection process ensures every student has agency to decide the best option to shape their future.

Our alumnae are leaders across science, politics, medicine, media, business, and law, and have studied at world-renowned institutions including Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, Juilliard, and the London School of Music.

From national sporting champions to musicians performing on international stages, our co-curricular programs foster character, resilience, and ambition beyond the classroom.

How has MLC School shaped you?

MLC School has been so supportive in every aspect of my development, not only helping me to succeed academically but also with lots of extracurricular opportunities and sincere care for my emotional and mental health during Year 12. It's that holistic shaping of me as a learner that will impact how I go forward into the future.

MLC School girls support each other and wish the best for one another. I have become more confident and have a strong support system.

MLC School has taught me to be ambitious, to be open and enthusiastic about every opportunity that comes my way. It's given me the mindset and attitude that anything is possible for my future.

MLC School is diverse in interests and people, it's acted as a good display of the real world. I think I've become kinder and more considerate of other people.

Being at MLC School has shaped me into a resilient, curious, and community-minded individual. I have learnt how to balance high expectations with perseverance, developing strong study habits and a drive for continual improvement.

The diverse and inclusive culture at MLC School has shaped my worldview, teaching me the importance of empathy, collaboration, and leadership. Opportunities in co-curricular activities have helped me work effectively with others and embrace challenges outside the classroom.

MLC School has truly shaped the person I am today...Through the lessons of my teachers, I have learnt patience, humility in success, and resilience in setbacks. At every step, I have felt supported, encouraged, and believed in, never left to doubt what I could achieve. The sense of belonging at MLC School has given me the confidence to take pride in who I am and who I will become after school.

MLC School has given me a strong personal voice and opinions on various situations and topics, to act on my own and participate in what I believe is valid and true.

MLC School really encouraged its motto of 'Dare to Be More', and I would not have experienced the growth I have if not for the amazing teachers and opportunities here.
