MLC School Council The MLC School Council is the guardian of the vision of the School’s Founders and maintains a link with the Uniting Church in Australia The MLC School Council is responsible for the sustainable future of the School by providing strategic guidance, adopting sound, ethical and legal governance and financial management policies. The Council ensures the School develops and implements strategies and supporting policies and processes to fulfil the objectives set out in the Constitution. In addition, Council's role is to effectively oversee and review the School’s management; it is not involved in day-to-day or operational matters. All matters to do with the day-to-day operation of the School or management issues should be referred to the relevant Executive staff member or the Principal, Lisa Moloney, who can be contacted by email on firstname.lastname@example.org. The Council does not involve itself in specific management issues (such as discipline, the details of the curriculum, staff concerns, or the payment of fees). The Council has nine members. There are currently four standing committees being: Finance Audit and Risk, Master Planning, Building and Membership.
