Dance, Drama and Entertainment

Delivered by MLC School Dance, Drama and Entertainment (DDE) Department

Middle Years Drama Production (Year 7 to Year 9)

Being involved in a school production encourages students to be part of a collaborative creative community. It aims to cultivate essential skills in drama that can have benefits to their academic, emotional, and social wellbeing as well as encouraging a greater appreciation of the arts. It allows students to develop their self-confidence, imagination, cooperation, and communication skills through performance.

The Middle Years Drama Production is an audition-based program open to students from Year 7 to Year 9.

A full rehearsal schedule is shared prior to the commencement of rehearsals and will detail student’s full commitments.

An opportunity to be a part of the crew will be advertised at the end of Term 3. Crew will be required at all rehearsals in Term 4 (including Sunday rehearsals). There is no costume levy for crew, however, they will need to purchase an MLC School Crew Shirt.
