Anime and Comics (Year 6 to Year 10)

The Anime and Comics Art class is a vibrant co-curricular program that celebrates the dynamic world of visual storytelling through illustration. Designed for students who are passionate about anime, manga, graphic novels, and comics, this class offers a space to explore character design, narrative development, and stylistic techniques drawn from both Japanese and Western traditions. Students learn how to create expressive characters, build imaginative worlds, and develop storyboards and comic panels that communicate mood, action, and emotion.

The program introduces key concepts such as anatomy, perspective, colour theory, and visual pacing, while encouraging students to experiment with both traditional and digital tools. Whether students are inspired by classic manga, superhero comics, or indie graphic novels, they are supported in developing their own style and storytelling voice.

Craft and Design Club (Year 3 to Year 10)

Year 3 to Year 5
The Craft and Design co-curricular class inspires students to explore their creativity and develop practical skills in a fun and supportive environment. This program encourages girls to become confident creators and thoughtful collaborators. Students will enjoy a variety of hands-on projects, such as paper craft (origami, card making, and paper sculpture), beading (jewellery and decorative items), and textile crafts (knitting, crochet, and felt work). Each activity is designed to foster imagination, fine motor skills, and an understanding of design principles like pattern, colour, and texture.

The class also introduces students to a range of traditional and contemporary craft techniques, allowing them to experiment and discover their own artistic style. Our experienced instructors will guide them through the journey, emphasising safe and sustainable studio practices.

Every student in this program will cultivate creativity, critical thinking and life long skills in a supportive environment through hands on learning and creative exploration.

Year 6 to Year 10
The Craft and Design co-curricular program offers students a dynamic space to extend their creative talents, refine technical skills, and develop as innovative thinkers. This program is designed to challenge and inspire, providing opportunities for students to explore a wide range of artistic disciplines in a supportive environment. Students engage in advanced projects such as paper craft, beading, and a variety of textile crafts – including knitting, crochet, and felt work – while also being introduced to contemporary design practices and digital design tools.

Mixed Media Art Studio (Year 3 to Year 10)

Year 3 to Year 5
The Mixed Media Art class invites students to embark on a creative journey where imagination knows no bounds. This co-curricular program is designed to nurture artistic expression and build foundational skills through the exploration of painting, drawing, and sculpture. Throughout the course, students will experiment with a variety of materials and techniques. In painting, they will explore colour mixing, brushwork, and different styles, from abstract to representational art. Drawing sessions will introduce students to line, shape, shading, and composition, helping them develop confidence and control with pencils, pastels, and markers. Sculpture projects will encourage hands-on creativity, using materials such as clay, papier-mâché, and found objects to create three-dimensional artworks.

Photography and Film (Year 6 to Year 10)

The Photography and Film class offers students an exciting opportunity to explore visual storytelling through both still and moving images. This co-curricular program introduces students to the creative and technical aspects of photography and filmmaking, encouraging them to develop their own artistic voice while building practical skills.

Students learn the fundamentals of composition, lighting, camera operation, and editing, using both digital cameras and mobile devices. In photography, they explore portraiture, landscape, documentary, and experimental styles. In film, students are guided through the process of planning, shooting, and editing short films, gaining experience in storyboarding, directing, and post-production. The Pottery class offers students a hands-on, immersive experience in the world of ceramic arts. Students are introduced to a variety of ceramic techniques including hand-building, slab construction, coil work, and wheel throwing.
