Parents are a very important resource and play a valuable role within the School community

The Parents and Friends' Association Incorporated

The Parents and Friends' Association Incorporated (P & F) is the main parent body at MLC School and a number of ventures and sub-committees come under its umbrella. These include the Junior School Parents' Club, Middle School Group, Senior School roup, Canteen Committee, Uniform Shop Committee, Crested Ware Committee and Second Hand Books. All monies raised by these groups are forwarded to P & F for allocation to School projects.

Recent P & F Purchases for MLC include:

  • Landscaping the gardens near Year 9 classrooms
  • Purchase of 12 seater Transit van
  • Purchase of portable shade structures for sporting events
  • Equipment for Radio Broadcasting
  • Musical instruments
  • Uniform Shop refurbishment

There are eight P & F meetings each year, two each term. One of these meetings per term will be a general business meeting where the P & F discuss fundraising activities and events that help the MLC community come together and socialise. The other meeting is a parent forum where guest speakers and/or the Pastoral Care team at MLC hold informative seminars and workshops on issues of interest to parents from Pre-Kinder right through to Year 12.
