About LearnCom

LearnCom is MLC School 's Multi Media Community Training/Conference Facility that delivers a variety of training programs to LearnCom clients, community members, MLC Staff and students.

LearnCom consists of a variety of training areas, a multi media sound/video studio, a 150 seat conference centre and a large lecture room. Each training area is equipped with the latest technology and professional presentation tools including digital projectors, Mac and/or PC computers. Video conferencing is available.

All training facilities are located at street level with street parking within metres.

At LearnCom our strength is in our understanding of how people learn. We are able to offer quality programs specifically designed to address the variety of needs and skills of the intended audience. Our staff are highly qualified, experienced professionals who, between them, have delivered quality training programs to thousands of clients throughout NSW, Australia and internationally.

Our Services

Computer Training : We provide quality training courses in a large range of software applications and areas including programming, networking, office applications, video production and more.

We specialise in training and advice regarding the use of technology in the school curriculum. We will work with your staff, students and community members to help your achieve your vision.

Conference Organisation : Use our state of the art venues to run your conference. We can assist you to achieve your desired outcomes by providing assistance with all aspects of conference organization from catering, to arranging for key note speakers, workshop leaders etc.

Microsoft Education Specialist Certification : LearnCom is an Authorised Testing Centre for the Microsoft Office Specialist certification. Microsoft Office Specialist certification is the best way to ensure an effective and efficient team when using Microsoft applications.

Training Partners

LearnCom is interested in establishing training partnerships to help promote our partners whilst adding value to the courses and services that we offer.

Currently we have formed partnerships with the leaders in Australian educational software and hardware suppliers Edsoft and Apple Australia. We have formed these partnerships to assist K-12 schools across Australia to access a range of training options that support best practice in education.

Edsoft will be rewarding loyal school customers with vouchers to subsidise your schools professional development costs.

MS Excel Learn to use the basic features of MS Excel that are required to teach the spreadsheet skills that are mandated in the new NSW 7-10 syllabi.  Topics covered will include basic features of the spreadsheet page, formulas and functions, charts and graphs, the teacher's markbook, interactive quizzes using the 'IF function', and the spreadsheet as a colourful table.

MS Word Learn to use the basic features of MS Word that are required to teach Word Processing skills as specified in the new NSW 7-10 syllabi.  This course will explore a variety of intermediate to advanced MS Word skills such as inserting and formatting tables, bullets, graphics, header and footer, templates and other whole document tasks such as creation of table of contenents, sectioning documents, using footnotes and comments.

Cost

All course fees are $120.00 per day per participant.  Group bookings of four or more participants are $100.00 per day, per participant.
