THE STUDIO at MLC School is dedicated to creating rich artistic experiences that provide the opportunity to extend creative talents, intellectual abilities and human skills in a variety of imaginative and challenging ways. We are lucky enough at THE STUDIO to see living proof of this statement everyday. Each program, whether for an individual or a corporation, is crafted to aid the further development of this precious commodity. Every STUDIO participant will have the chance to not only work alongside leading Performing Arts specialists to enhance their creative talents but to also cultivate their human, lateral thinking, cognitive, motivational, presentation and expressive skills. Our specialist tutors and directors come from diverse backgrounds (working everywhere from NIDA to major corporations such as IBM to Royal Shakespeare Company to AFTRS to Mulliners Casting to ABC to Fashion Houses to a variety of Australian charitable organisations to London’s National Theatre. The Studio has woven this collective expertise together to create programs that foster innovation through authentic learning experiences; learners that resonate energy and enthusiasm; and inspiration that keeps participants motivated and committed. Each member of our staff is dedicated to creating an empowering environment where worth, ideas and ability are affirmed; talents are developed and enhanced; and risks are taken. Our most unique and precious resource within the Performing Arts is our students and through our varied, integrated and rich programs, we are able to show each individual just how unique they are. THE STUDIO believes that learning through the Arts should not only be lively and enjoyable but should also lead students to a better understanding of themselves and of the real world in which they live. Our process develops both intellect and emotion—to raise ordinary experience to significance—to create learning that is intense and absorbing, objective and reflective—learning that is extraordinarily subtle, flexible and effective because it happens through experience. THE STUDIO is an accredited provider for a wide range of innovative courses and an extensive Diploma program, which is recognised worldwide. What is particularly exciting, because of the strength and success of our program is that we are one of the few providers able to offer these Diplomas at an accelerated level for gifted and talented Performing Arts students under the age of 18. All students have the opportunity to participate in some form of Performing Arts activity. Dance and Drama are certainly one of the most popular activities in the school. G Events are rehearsed and staged in our Drama Theatre & Studios as well as being performed at Festivals, Eisteddfods and Showcases at a regional, state & national level. Customised TrainingThe Studio is able to create learning experiences to suit your individual or organisational needs. We can customise team building, change management, leadership, conflict resolution, vision realisation, vocal care, theatre, film & television study, personal growth, presentation skills, audition preparation, voice development, and professional and/or corporate experiences to suit your requirements. THE STUDIO prides itself on being accessible to all, a viable and valuable learning tool and a means for each individual to discover who they are by being able to express their whole. School Certificate, Higher School Certificate, International Baccalaureate and Voc Ed Course StudyYou can study Higher School Certificate Dance or Drama, School Certificate Dance or Drama, International Baccalaureate Theatre Arts or Dance and/or VET Entertainment Industry at THE STUDIO. THE STUDIO is a registered training organisation. We can provide accredited training in all aspects of the Performing Arts. We recognise AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other RTOs in relation to VETAB & TCL accredited courses. Work alongside industry professionals to acquire the best possible tuition and experience. 92% of all THE STUDIO at MLC students have been awarded grades and final examination marks in the top band with many being showcased and published as exemplary candidates at Onstage for HSC Drama and Callback for HSC Dance as well as being awarded a vast array of prizes for excellence. Courses are available at accelerated levels and tuition is in small groups or privately. Fees POA.
