The MLC Aquatic Centre was opened by Ms Dawn Fraser AO on 11 April 2003 and is located at the intersection of Park Road and Rowley Streets just beside Burwood Park. Learn-to-Swim, Swimming Squad Programs and the MLC Marlins Swimming Club all offer families the chance to access these beautiful new facilities and be instructed by leading coaching professionals. The 6 x 50metre and 2 x 33metre (i.e. 8 lane) indoor heated swimming pool incorporates a learn-to-swim area, an international water polo field and has both 1m and 3m diving boards. The diatomaceous filtration system ensures crystal clear water at all times. The centre has been designed with cantilevered glass doors down the entire north wall to provide and indoor-outdoor feel with natural ventilation in summer while in winter ensuring a constant warm air temperature with ventilation through the roof. A mezzanine deck allows viewing over the entire complex, with a sun deck off the pool deck on the lower level.
