Vocational Education and Training Courses
Vocational Education and Training provides courses of study
and/or practical training that develops the skills and knowledge
that people need for employment. At MLC School students are able
to combine V.E.T. sector courses such as Hospitality Operations
with school sector courses and have them both recognised towards
a final qualification such as the HSC and a UAI.
| Combining a TAFE Vocational Education and Training Course while completing senior studies can be an ambitious idea but often helps students understand the way things fit together. |
Vocational
Education and Training Courses offered currently at MLC School
Various courses are dual accredited by both the Board of Studies (BoS) and the Vocational Education and training Accreditation Board (VETAB). The students must complete a mandatory 70 hours work placement over two years in order to complete the industry competencies. The students who take any of the following subjects are awarded 2units towards their HSC, Certificate 11 or 111 AQF and also have the subject included in the calculation of the UAI.
